Baked pork rolls
I preferred to follow this type of cooking, to obtain a lighter version, but, if desired, they can also be cooked in a pan, without the need to add more oil, since the pork dumplings had already been passed through them before the breading . They are also without eggs, so with a breading suitable for those with intolerance to this food. I also made the sweet and sour bacon rolls which are really delicious, but I also invite you to try the loin rolls with orange cream , the ones with sauce and the loin bites with lemon cream, all recipes that are very easy to make, as well as quick and tasty.
Ingredients for Baked Pork Rolls :
- 600 g pork ( slices of thigh )
- 80 g cooked ham
- 120 g smoked scamorza cheese
- 60 g olive oil
- breadcrumbs to taste
- 8 g salt rosemary to taste
Being large enough, it will be necessary to cut them in half.
Instead of this cut, slices of loin can also be used. In that case, buy 8, in order to obtain two bundles for each diner.
Arrange the meat on a cutting board and divide them in half. Put half a slice of ham and the scamorza cheese cut into slices on each slice.
Fold the meat back on itself and close it, using toothpicks or kitchen twine. Pour the oil into a plate, while put the breadcrumbs in a tray.
Dip the meat first in the oil, letting it drip off a little, and then in the breadcrumbs, pressing lightly on the latter so that it adheres.
When all the rolls are ready, place them in a pan lined with parchment paper, after adding a little oil. Season with salt and rosemary according to your tastes and bake for 20 minutes at 180° in a previously heated oven.
Remove the pan from the oven and serve the baked pork rolls hot, to have the stringy effect of the cheese. Enjoy your meal!
